We couldn’t resist a sneaky Sydney on Sudnay entry from a recent trip to Thaialnd. This eccentric café immediately caught our attention when walking through the streets of the Fisherman’s Village, Bo Phut. The bright interior, rustic furniture and relaxed atmosphere attracted many patrons while the other cafes at this time were mostly empty.
It was hard to go past the lure of a watermelon shake. The drink came straight from the juicer well presented with a piece of fresh watermelon attached to the rim of the glass.
One diner opted for the iced coffee and was not disappointed. The tall glass of sweet coffee provided a well needed caffeine kick.
The Tuna Carpaccio with French Fries won us over at first sight. The spread of tuna, luscious salad and stacked fries was a great combination. However there were mixed reactions to the taste. One of us thought the tuna was dry and bland, while the other had no complaints. The fresh lime was a great accompaniment to the meal which gave a boost of flavour to the salad and tuna. The fries were a hit with all diners and the cheeky mayonnaise on the side enhanced the flavour. The stunning location of the café and the atmosphere means we’ll be returning to this place (as soon as we can save up the airfare to get there).
