Two quick reviews for you this weekend. First up is Forsyth Café in Naremburn which is the shopfront for a multi award winning coffee and tea company. The location is quite humble and retro while providing a massive variety of coffee & tea, classes and associated accessories. Forsyth do not serve meals but suffice to say, if you enjoy beans or leaves, you’ll love it here!
You’ll be sure to find a bean that suits your taste so you have lots of reasons to return. Single shot coffees are $3.30, doubles are $3.80. There is also espresso ($2/$2.50), ristretto ($2/$2.50), affogato ($3), chai latte ($3.30/$3.80), filter ($3.50/$3.80) and syphon (single cup $5, 3 cups $10).
The iced tea seemed a bit haphazard to us as it could have been colder and we would have preferred a stronger peach flavour. Despite much steeping, it was still too weak.
We thoroughly enjoyed all of the sweet treats with the shortbread and the brownie coming out on top.
Order at the counter, grab a number and find a table outside, in one of the various rooms or in the courtyard. There’s plenty to look at while you wait including the many awards, tea & coffee varieties, brewing accessories, grinders, roasters and reading material on beans & leaves. Forsyth is the perfect place to relax on a lunch break or a Sunday afternoon to prepare yourself for those dreadful Mondays!
